Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, Inc. – Pittsburgh Schweitzer Fellows Program
5614 Elgin Street, Pittsburgh, 15101
The mission of The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship is to reduce disparities in Health and Healthcare by developing ‘leaders in service’ – individuals who are dedicated and skilled in helping underserved communities, and whose example influences and inspires others. The Fellowship achieves this through an interdisciplinary, service-learning model that fosters moral and professional development. This model includes four major components: a mentored, entrepreneurial, community-based service project; guidance through a curriculum that emphasizes values and leadership; structured opportunities for individual and group reflection; and membership in a lifelong fellowship (Fellows for Life) of service-oriented colleagues.
