Mission Statement: The mission of ASSET (Achieving Student Success through Excellence in Teaching) Inc. is to continuously improve teaching and learning.

Vision Statement: To provide exemplary research-based professional development services aligned with standards-based instruction that results in improved teaching and learning for all students.

ASSET assists school districts in implementing comprehensive K-8 science education programs based on the National Science Resources Centers (NSRC) – an organization of the National Academies and the Smithsonian Institution – national model for effective science education reform.

The five component model includes:

1. Standards-based curriculum materials
2. Ongoing, rigorous professional development
3. Centralized materials support
4. Assessment
5. Community/Administrative involvement
