The Purpose of the Wilkins School Community Center is to preserve and maintain the Wilkins School Building as a focus of community activity and civic pride. Educational, recreational and cultural programs at the Wilkins School will be responsive to community needs and will promote the expressive arts as a form of communication.

We provide classes, activities and meeting space for various groups and individuals from age 6 months through senior citizens. Our attendees are primarily from the quadboro area of Swissvale, Edgewood, Pittsburgh and Wilkinsburg, however many attend from other communities. Our population includes special needs children, support groups, cultural and ethnic groups, civic groups as well as the general population.
