For more than a century, The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for each child and family that knocks on our door. At times, and for a variety of reasons, The Children's Institute Foundation covers the cost of care to families in need of our educational services, child and family services, outpatient behavioral health services, or outpatient therapy services. By supporting The Children's Institute Foundation, you are helping us bridge the gap between reimbursements and the true cost of providing expert care.

Every journey is different for families and children. For the Family Support Services team at The Children’s Institute, this often means responding to the critical needs of families when they need extra support to manage challenges, make essential purchases, or work towards self-sufficiency. 

With your help, we can continue to respond to their critical needs. Please consider giving generously—The Children’s Institute Foundation will receive additional funds from The Pittsburgh Foundation on gifts of $25 or more.

Provides diapers, wipes, and other essential items
such as cleaning supplies, bedding, and linens.

$50
Provides adaptive toys and equipment that help children
achieve developmental milestones. Baby gates and locks
to keep a home safe are also purchased.

$100
Pays a family’s electric bill so that they can provide a safe
and warm home for their children. We also provide hats and
coats for children during winter months.

$250
Supports aquatic therapy, helping children build strength,
coordination, confidence, and independence in the water,
an essential life-safety skill.
