Jubilee's mission is to serve the people of Pittsburgh, helping to improve the lives of those experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, living in poverty, or facing other hardships in a safe and caring environment.

Initially founded as a soup kitchen in 1979, food programming remains at the foundation of Jubilee's work. Our kitchen continues to operate 365 days a year to serve hot breakfasts, lunches, and take-home meals daily. Our Polish Hill food pantry serves walk-in guests and provides home deliveries for those unable to travel. Our renovated Hill District food pantry offers a 'shopping' experience with greater access to fresh and shelf-stable foods. Our mobile pantry serves families at the local elementary school who face transportation, scheduling, or other challenges in accessing a food pantry. Jubilee's 16-unit, climate-controlled food locker system allows guests to order food online and pick it up at their convenience.

At Jubilee, guests have access to hygiene services including restrooms, a shower facility, a laundry room, and personal hygiene items. We provide a shopping-style experience in our clothing room where guests can find clothes, shoes, and other essentials. We provide crisis counseling, serve as a mailing address, assist guests in obtaining ID documents, and provide transportation assistance for guests to attend various appointments. We host healthcare partners onsite regularly to provide basic medical care and connect guests with additional health resources. Jubilee's employment services help guests build skills to enter or re-enter the workforce through resume and interview support and connections to job opportunities. We remain connected to housing resources to help guests navigate this system. 

Jubilee's Preventing Homelessness Program offers financial support for rent and utility payments to help individuals and families avoid homelessness. Our Path to Self-Sufficiency Program helps guests set and achieve personal goals across five interconnected areas: family stability & housing, physical & mental wellbeing, finances, education & training, and employment & career management.
