Latino Community Center

The mission of the Latino Community Center is to equip Latino children, youth, and families with the tools and opportunities they need to reach their full potential through educational programs, family support, and community development.

Founded in 2017, the Latino Community Center (LCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that Latino families have equitable access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. Every year, LCC serves more than 2,000 individuals from over 800 families through culturally responsive and bilingual programs that strengthen families, empower youth, and build brighter futures.

Our work spans every stage of life—from early childhood and youth education to family support, resource navigation, workforce development, and basic needs assistance. Whether a family is new to the community or has called Pittsburgh home for years, we provide trusted guidance, advocacy, and services that help them overcome barriers and achieve long-term stability.

TUTORING PROGRAM

From struggling to confident

Maythe came to LCC’s tutoring program needing extra support with her schoolwork. After months of working with her volunteer tutor, something shifted. She started completing all her assignments at school on her own. She began helping her classmates. Eventually, she was so confident that she asked LCC to give her tutoring spot to another student who needed it more. Her mother wrote:
