Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh

Safe Homes Build Strong Communities

At Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh, we believe a safe and healthy home is the foundation for a good life. A home is where children grow, older adults stay connected to their communities, and families build financial stability.

The Challenge

When a home becomes unsafe, the impacts are felt far beyond its walls. Issues like a leaky roof, faulty plumbing, or a broken furnace can lead to serious health risks, daily injury hazards, and soaring utility bills during cold Pittsburgh winters.

For many homeowners with limited incomes, fixing these major issues is simply out of reach. A single costly repair can force a family to choose between their safety, their health, and their ability to stay in the home they love. Without support, homes can fall into disrepair, leading to displacement and community blight.

Our Solution

Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh interrupts this cycle. We provide critical home repairs at no cost to eligible homeowners. By stepping in to help, we:

  • Keep neighbors safely housed: Protecting families from health hazards and dangerous living conditions.

  • Preserve affordable homeownership: Helping people age in place and retain their greatest financial asset.

  • Strengthen neighborhoods: Preventing vacant properties and encouraging community investment.

Preserving housing is an investment in the local economy. Healthy, occupied homes help stabilize property values, support local schools, and create vibrant, thriving neighborhoods where everyone can succeed.

Our 2025 Local Impact

Thanks to our community's support, we made a meaningful difference last year:

  • 79 homes received critical repair and modification services.

  • 339 residents were supported through our utilities programs.

  • $3.3 Million+ was invested in home repairs across Lincoln Lemington Belmar, East Hills, McKeesport, the Hill District, and Clairton.
