The Children's Home of Pittsburgh

Established in 1893, The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center is an independent, nonprofit organization that promotes the health and well-being of infants and children through services which establish and strengthen the family - where holistic care meets family empowerment.

Since 1893, The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center has supported the health and well-being of infants and children through family-centered programs. Our Pediatric Specialty Hospital helps medically fragile children transition home. Child's Way blends skilled nursing and early education for kids with complex health needs. Our Adoption and Permanency team supports children in foster care, adoptive families, and birthparents. Pediatric VIEW leads internationally in treating cortical visual impairment (CVI), while our Counseling and Therapy services address growing mental health needs.

Your donation will provide extra support to those touched by foster care and adoption through our Adoptive and Foster Family Fund, which helps us:

• Host special events for birth, foster and adoptive families
• Provide gift cards to families in need of groceries, transportation, and more
• Offer scholarships for counseling and special needs adoptions
• Recruit and support families for older youth who need permanency
• Deliver secondary trauma training to better support our staff and families
