Allies for Health + Wellbeing

Our mission at Allies is to improve health and wellbeing by providing integrated medical care, supportive human services, and community-based education for individuals living with, or at risk of, HIV, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections. We envision a healthier community whereby people access integrated medical care and supportive human services in a respectful setting, free of stigma and discrimination.

Through the Allies medical clinic, we provide inclusive, holistic care by recognizing our clients' full lived experience. We lower financial barriers and stigma to make sure everyone can access the care they need, and we build trusting relationships with each client. Our health clinic is open to everyone, and we specialize in STI prevention, testing and care. Additionally, Allies provides inclusive primary care, gender-affirming care, behavioral health, and pharmacy services. Allies' HIV supportive services include medical and non-medical case management, permanent supportive housing, food assistance, transportation assistance, legal services, and emergency financial assistance.

Allies is informed by its 40-year history as the oldest and largest AIDS service organization in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Our organization’s mission is focused on providing critical healthcare and support services for people living with, or at risk of, HIV/AIDS. While significant advances have been made in HIV prevention and treatment over the last 40 years, there continues to be extreme stigma, discrimination, and barriers to care for people living with HIV/AIDS.The Allies clinic also serves anyone looking for culturally competent, affordable, and stigma-free healthcare, including: the LGBTQ+ community, low-income individuals, BIPOC, young people and seniors, people living with disabilities, and those seeking HIV specialty care.  Notably, we work to address the needs of those aging with HIV, as more than 50% of individuals living with HIV are now over 50 years old.
