Casa San Jose
About this Organization
Casa San José was founded in 2013 as a community resource center dedicated to serving the growing Latino population in the region. Our mission is to create a welcoming environment for Latinos by providing essential services, advocating for immigrant rights, and fostering community empowerment. Over the years, Casa San José has become a trusted pillar of support, offering services tailored to the specific challenges faced by our community. Currently, we serve over 400 individuals per month, with approximately 20% of these clients seeking emergency assistance after heads of households were detained by ICE since the beginning of the new administration. Every client is connected with a case manager who provides direct emergency services and, when applicable, refers them to partner organizations for additional support. Given the growing demand for basic needs assistance and legal resources, we anticipate serving at least 3,500 clients by the end of 2025. The increasing number of ICE detentions has left many Latino families in our region struggling to meet their most basic needs. Many households experience a sudden loss of income, leaving them unable to pay for rent, utilities and food.
