Hope Ministries of McKeesport is the successor agency to Intersection, a non-profit in McKeesport who ended their five decades of service at the end of 2024. Formerly known as the 9th Street Community Kitchen, they chose us as their successor, donated to us their building at 115th 7th Street in McKeesport, and provided us some seed money so that we could seamlessly continue the services they had provided. We have continued their critical services and developed plans for expansion. We fall in the critical needs categories of Food, Rent and Utilities. McKeesport has a 30% poverty population. We serve prepared meals; deliver some meals to the handicapped and elderly participants; provide a Food Pantry and deliver to those who are handicapped and elderly. We also offer support with rent and utilities.
