Hosanna House, Inc.
About this Organization
Hosanna House (HHI) is located in the heart of Wilkinsburg. Along with its partners, this community anchor institution offers a one-stop shop for health, human, and educational services. Thirty years ago, Hosanna House reclaimed the borough's abandoned middle school building, a four-story 124,000 square foot facility with a gym and indoor pool. Inspired to transform not only the building but also the community with a sense of purpose and potential, Hosanna House works to invest in a better future for the children and families of Wilkinsburg and surrounding communities.
Hosanna House, under the steadfast leadership of its founding CEO and president, Leon E. Haynes, is deeply rooted in justice and equity. HHI is unwavering in its commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty and elevating the quality of life of all people, ensuring that our community is built on a foundation of fairness and equality.
Our network of campuses - the Wallace Avenue Community Center and Sherwood Event Center - are a beacon of hope for our community, providing direct services and event rental opportunities to more than 40,000 people every year.
