Life Builders provides essential, dignity-centered support that helps individuals and families meet immediate needs while building long-term stability. Our programs remove barriers that can lead to food insecurity, housing instability, and financial hardship.

Life Builders primarily serves families throughout the South Hills of Allegheny County, where many households experience hidden financial hardship despite the area's reputation for affluence. We are committed to ensuring that individuals and families have access to the resources they need to remain stable, healthy, and hopeful.

Core services include year-round access to nutritious food through our food pantry and fresh produce from our CommUNITY Garden, along with household essentials such as diapers, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. Families also receive seasonal and emergency assistance including warm coats, gloves, new shoes for children, laundry supplies, backpacks, books, school supplies, and haircuts to ensure children are prepared to succeed.

To help households remain stable during times of crisis, Life Builders provides limited assistance with home and vehicle repairs and utility expenses, reducing the risk that unexpected emergencies escalate into housing instability or financial crisis.

Beyond meeting immediate needs, we empower families through educational workshops and community-based programs focused on financial wellness, healthy living, career readiness, homeownership, and other life skills that promote long-term self-sufficiency.
