Founded in faith, Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry strengthens individuals and families through personalized mental wellness and educational services accessible to all.
"Anchorpoint was recently featured by The Pittsburgh Foundation as one of 200 organizations participating in The Pittsburgh Foundation's 2026 #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert. During #ONEDAY, neighbors and families in need of mental health care benefit from the immense support and exposure focused on Anchorpoint's mission. The Funds raised during this event help close gaps to mental health care, provide educational workshops to increase mental health awareness and combat stigma, and train the next generation of mental health professionals."
Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry is a charitable mental health nonprofit serving families throughout the northern Pittsburgh region. Anchorpoint's services are rooted in its core values: Above-and-Beyond Care, Access for All, Driven by Faith, Family Focused, and Growth Minded. Take a look - Mark Heinbockel, Executive Director shares Why Your Gift Matters!
Anchorpoint believes all neighbors and families should be able to access and afford high-quality mental health care, regardless of faith, background, or ability to pay. In 2025, Anchorpoint delivered more than 7,500 counseling sessions and dozens of support group meetings serving more than 750 neighbors in need. Nearly 40% of Anchorpoint's services benefit families who are uninsured, underinsured, or under-resourced.
Your gift today will provide critical help and care to youth, adults, couples, and families who are battling anxiety, depression, loneliness, grief, trauma, and other urgent needs. Without your support, many families would not be able to access or afford services that will bring them hope, healing, and understanding. By giving, you will make lives better and families stronger!
“I feel so much more in control of myself, and so much more normal. Sometimes you’re experiencing something and you feel like no one else in the world feels that way. My time here has helped me understand that I’m not abnormal—I’m just a person who deals with things in certain ways.” ~ Current Anchorpoint Client
