Jewish Family and Community Services (JFCS) supports individuals and families through life’s changes and challenges, ensuring that no neighbor has to navigate these difficulties alone. Our network of innovative, supportive services provides coordinated, whole-person support, addressing a wide range of challenges with compassion.

At JFCS, we know that meeting an immediate need is often just the beginning. Through a comprehensive approach, we address urgent challenges while helping people build pathways to long-term stability and success through services, resources, and support.

A family seeking food assistance may also need help registering for public assistance benefits. Someone looking for career counseling may need support accessing reliable transportation. A young person struggling with grief may need mental health services as well as a network of trusted support.

We work alongside those we serve as a trusted partner, meeting them where they are and supporting them at every step of their journey.

Your gift helps make this critical holistic support possible.

The JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry addresses both the immediate needs of community members experiencing food insecurity and the underlying causes of hunger. As one of only five pantries in the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank service area open five days a week, it provides emergency food assistance to anyone living in Allegheny County and offers food options that meet the diverse dietary needs of individuals and families throughout the community.

JFCS Career Services helps job seekers develop the skills, confidence, and strategies needed to achieve their career goals. Through strong partnerships with local employers, we support recruitment and workforce development efforts while helping to strengthen the regional workforce.

JFCS Counseling Services and UpStreet provide essential mental health services in safe, welcoming, and supportive environments. These programs help individuals improve their emotional well-being and develop the tools needed to successfully navigate life's challenges.
