NSI/AHNCI Neuro-Ocology Patient Care Fund - Malignant brain tumors can cause significant psychosocial distress with patients commonly reporting fear, fatigue, worry and reduced memory and concentration. Indeed, up to 33% of patients with certain malignant brain tumors do not receive timely treatment after surgery, often secondary to logistic barriers such as transportation. At AHN we have addressed these barriers, in part, by creating a multidisciplinary brain tumor clinic where neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, radiation oncologists and supportive care physicians see patients during a single appointment. Nevertheless, charitable funds are critical in supporting neuro-oncology patients by helping cover essential - yet often unaffordable - expenses such as copays, transportation to treatment, and other non-medical costs. Many patients, especially those with limited income or without comprehensive insurance, face financial barriers that can delay or prevent access to life-saving care. By easing these burdens, charitable assistance ensures neuro-oncology patients can attend appointments, adhere to prescribed treatments, and focus on recovery rather than financial stress, ultimately improving health outcomes and quality of life.

AHN Center for Inclusion Health Healthy Food Center - The Healthy Food Center (HFC) is a comprehensive program serving AHN patients, patient families, and local community members who are food insecure. The program bridges meal gaps by providing accessible and healthy food choices, supporting lifestyle change through one-on-one nutrition education with a registered dietitian, improving chronic conditions, reducing medical complications, and lowering overall healthcare costs. The HFC has a dedicated team of dietitians and dietetic technicians to manage their six current locations on AHN hospital campuses.
