Outside The Borders Inc

Founded in 2022, Outside The Borders Inc. was created to break linguistic, cultural, and emotional barriers that prevent Hispanic and Latino communities from accessing support services related to domestic violence, trauma, emotional wellness, and community education. Since its founding during the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization has focused on providing culturally responsive, Spanish-language support and psychoeducational services for underserved communities across Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and beyond.

Since 2022, Outside The Borders has developed multiple community-centered programs and initiatives, including:

• Rompamos el Silencio — a virtual psychoeducational and emotional support program for survivors and victims of domestic violence.
• Hombres en Control — workshops and conversations focused on healthy masculinity, emotional responsibility, and violence prevention among men.
• Jóvenes Emocional-Mente Activos — an emotional wellness and social-emotional learning program for Hispanic youth and adolescents.
• Community conversations, educational workshops, and online support spaces addressing trauma, emotional regulation, parenting, domestic violence awareness, and mental health stigma within Hispanic communities.
• Referral and resource navigation services connecting families to trusted local organizations and culturally competent providers.

In 2026, Outside The Borders proudly joined forces with Ayúdate and MAYA Organization to launch Madres Sin Fronteras (Mothers Without Borders) — a collaborative initiative created to support pregnant Hispanic women and mothers with children ages five and under.

This partnership represents more than a program; it symbolizes unity, trust, and collective action among organizations committed to uplifting Hispanic families through culturally responsive care. Through Madres Sin Fronteras, participants gain access to emotional support, psychoeducational services, parenting guidance, perinatal support, referrals, and community-building opportunities in a safe and welcoming environment.

The creation of Madres Sin Fronteras demonstrates the power of collaboration within the nonprofit community. By bringing together the strengths of three organizations, the initiative expands access to critical services, reduces isolation, and creates a stronger support network for Hispanic mothers and families navigating pregnancy, migration, trauma, and motherhood.

Today, Outside The Borders continues to grow as a voice for advocacy, education, empowerment, and healing — building bridges of hope beyond borders.
