Pittsburgh Community Services, Inc. is Pittsburgh's federally designated Community Action Agency, dedicated to addressing poverty and its root causes. Each year, we help more than 1,000 Pittsburgh households with low income get through immediate crises and take steps towards financial stability and economic mobility.  

We treat everyone who walks through our door with dignity and respect, pairing each person with a case manager as we support people through food insecurity, utility shutoffs, parenting under pressure, unemployment, and reentry after incarceration.

Our food pantry is often the "front door" to our broader service options, open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Customers choose what their families will use and can come back every four weeks. We serve 100 households a month, helping families save up to $100 on groceries. Each dollar invested in our food pantry results in $5.00 worth of food distributed to neighbors.
