Tech 25

About this Organization

Tech 25 is a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit that prepares youth and young adults for careers in live event production, broadcasting, and digital media. We serve over 600 learners annually through hands-on programs in audio, lighting, video, and stagecraft-empowering students from underrepresented backgrounds, including BIPOC youth, students with disabilities, and those not pursuing traditional college paths.

Our impact is both measurable and visible: students produce public concerts, collaborate with cultural institutions like the Andy Warhol Museum and Carnegie Museums, and transition into paid work with local AV companies, unions, and venues. Through programs like Start on Success, the Gap Year Apprenticeship, and monthly workforce masterclasses, Tech 25 builds technical skills, confidence, and access to sustainable careers.

Our graduates are entering industries where diversity is needed and opportunity is growing. By combining mentorship, certification, and real-world experience, Tech 25 is transforming who gets to participate-and succeed-in Pittsburgh's creative economy.
