Union Mission
About this Organization
Union Mission is a faith-based leader focused on ending homelessness in Westmoreland County by providing a comprehensive continuum of care grounded in evidence-based practices and compassion. From Emergency Shelter to Permanent Supportive Housing, Rapid Rehousing, and Transition Age Shared Housing, we serve individuals and families with dignity and purpose.
As the only shelter for men in the county, we provide trauma-informed care and individualized support with a recidivism rate far below the national average.
We champion Housing First, Coordinated Entry, and Housing Problem-Solving strategies, partnering across systems to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring. With sites and services spanning the region, Union Mission is proud to stand with our neighbors-building pathways to stability, belonging, and home.
In 2024 alone, Union Mission provided over 163,000 nights of housing assistance, served 30,000+ meals, and supported hundreds of individuals through case management, eviction prevention, and housing placement-demonstrating both immediate impact and long-term commitment to sustainable solutions.
