If you know me, then you know how passionate I am about the work I do for Crisis Center North, providing lifesaving services to survivors, their families, and their animals.  Without these available lifesaving services in the community, victims of domestic violence continue to suffer in silence and believe that they are worthless, powerless, and that no one will believe them. I see this every day, and my heart goes out to the ones on the road to healing and those who have yet to reach out for help.

This past year has been really tough due to the reduction of the VOCA (victims of crimes act) fund by over 700 MILLION dollars. That’s a lot of zeros, and a lot to deal with if you are an organization that relies on those funds to provide lifesaving services. That reduction decreased Crisis Center North’s budget by over 20 percent, and we need to find that support elsewhere. 

I am hoping that you will take the time to give what you can this year. 
I love my job, and it breaks my heart to realize that we may not be around to do this kind of work if we don’t get the support we need.
