Nabhi Christian Ministries provides home cooked meals, warm coats, energy assistance, and essential supports that remove financial barriers for youth and families facing hardship. For nearly 30 years, we have walked alongside Pittsburgh’s most vulnerable neighbors, restoring dignity, stability, and hope through practical, compassionate care.
Hardship Distributions
We provide warm clothing, food, and basic necessities to children, seniors, and families experiencing poverty and food insecurity. This also includes access‑related supports—such as transportation, meals, or required ticket costs—that allow youth to participate in cultural and educational enrichment opportunities they would otherwise be excluded from.
Emergency Energy Response Assistance (EERA)
Developed during COVID‑19 and expanded with support from The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Small and Mighty grant, EERA prevents utility shutoffs through comprehensive intake assessments, hands‑on application assistance, budgeting education, and support enrolling eligible clients in the Peoples Gas CAP program for reduced monthly payments. This program is a lifeline for families who would otherwise face dangerous winter conditions, eviction risk, or homelessness due to utility termination.
Community Engagement
Our outreach efforts build trusting relationships, strengthen community ties, and connect residents to essential services. Through conflict resolution, mentoring, and neighborhood events, we help families replace risk factors with supportive networks.
