The Trade Institute of Pittsburgh is a non-profit, tuition-free carpentry and masonry training program for individuals with significant barriers to employment. During this #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert, you have the opportunity to support our students in getting to their NEXT!
I joined the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh in February as an assistant carpentry teacher. This position allows me to have a greater sense of purpose as I am able to help educate and expose students to the benefits of a career in the trades. TIP is more than a workforce development program, it addresses individuals needs through various departments to help them succeed in life.
Today, I am excited to invite you to be a part of TIP! Your gift, no matter the size, will allow us to continue to be creative and bold in how we show up for our students and alumni. For example:
- $25 - Provides a student with a 7-day bus pass to ensure they can get to and from TIP each day.
- $50 - Covers the fees for an initial PA driver's learner's permit.
- $125 - Provides a graduate with a full tool belt to start their first day on the right foot.
