Brookline Sprouts Preschool & Childcare Center

At Brookline Sprouts Preschool, we provide high quality early childhood education for children ages 3–5 during the years that matter most for building a strong foundation for future success. Our preschool program helps children develop early literacy, math, science, problem-solving, communication, and social skills through intentional instruction, hands-on learning, social-emotional strengthening, and play-based experiences designed specifically for young learners. We also offer stability and continuity of care with our school age programming through 12 years old.

Most of the families we serve face financial challenges that can limit access to quality early education opportunities. We believe every child deserves the chance to begin school prepared and confident, regardless of their family's income. In addition to providing a nurturing learning environment, we serve nutritious meals and snacks each day and offer summer feeding programs that help address food insecurity in our community. When children's basic needs are met, they are better able to focus and learn.

Your support helps us provide affordable access to a STAR 4-quality preschool experience that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond. While our primary focus is early childhood education, we also offer before and after school care, as well as full day summer programming, and safe transportation support for school age children, creating a dependable resource for working families. Every donation helps strengthen educational opportunities, provide healthy meals, and ensure that local children have the tools they need to succeed in school and in life.

We intend to use the funds to:

1. Make kitchen improvements and equipment upgrades that allow us to safely store, prepare, and serve more fresh fruits and vegetables as part of our meal program.

2. Replace aging playground equipment, and improve outdoor learning spaces with new types of activities.

3. Provide specialized professional development for staff in areas such as support through trauma, behavior support, and meeting the needs of children with diverse abilities.

4. Purchase classroom materials and consumable supplies, including paint, play dough, glue, sensory materials, and other resources that support hands on learning experiences.

5. Provide holistic family support and resources that help create a stable, secure environment for children both at home and in the classroom. These resources may include temporary tuition assistance during times of crisis, clothing, food assistance, household essentials, and referrals to community services. We recognize that children learn best when their basic needs are met, and that family stability plays a critical role in their learning and success.
