Critical Needs Alert is an annual day of giving led by The Pittsburgh Foundation and the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County to support nonprofits providing essential human services. Donations made during the campaign are amplified through incentive funds, allowing every gift to make an even greater impact.

The Sampson Family YMCA is more than a place to work out. It is a place where children build confidence, families create lasting memories, older adults stay active, and neighbors find a true sense of belonging. Proudly serving Plum and the surrounding communities, the Y strengthens lives through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Each year, thousands of individuals and families benefit from programs such as child care, before and after school care, swim lessons, youth sports, summer camp, wellness classes, and nutrition education through our Teaching Kitchen. Through financial assistance, we help ensure these opportunities remain accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

Your gift on Critical Needs Alert helps remove financial barriers and creates opportunities for children, families, and older adults to learn, grow, and thrive. Together, we can build a healthier, stronger, and more connected community.
