My goal for the 2025 Critical Needs Alert is to send a cancer survivor through our LIVESTRONG at The YMCA program! I had the immense pleasure of interviewing some of our program participants and found myself deeply moved by their stories. I smiled with them, I cried with them, and every interview ended with a hug. It was among the most impactful days of my professional career. As someone who has seen family members go through chemo and cancer treatment, it is not easy. The LIVESTRONG at The YMCA program TRULY helps people regain their strength- mentally, physically, and spiritually.
