One day can teach a child to swim, connect a senior to community, or give a parent peace of mind. Every gift makes a real difference. The YMCA has been a constant throughout my life. I grew up in GA, playing sports and making friends at the Y. As a new mom in VA, the Y became a lifeline — a place where my daughter learned to swim and I found support through childcare services that gave me room to breathe as a working parent. We now enjoy the Y in PA as a family of four. Today, I proudly serve on the Sampson Family YMCA Advisory Board because I believe in the Y’s power to help kids thrive, families grow stronger, and communities come together. With a career rooted in youth and community development, I see the Y as a true cornerstone for well-being and belonging.
