Food insecurity is a problem that doesn't have to happen in a country as well off as this one, but it is far too common. Wilkinsburg Community Ministry helps to address this problem by feeding thousands of our hungry neighbors in Wilkinsburg and surrounding communities every month. WCM relies on the work of volunteers, donated and purchased food, and the good will of people like you and me. That's why when I was recently ask to join the Board of WCM, I gladly accepted. The Wilkinsburg Community Ministry (WCM) operates a food pantry for residents of Wilkinsburg and neighboring areas to address nutrition and food insecurity in the east Allegheny County area. The operation area includes East Homewood, Park Place, Regent Square, Swissvale, Swisshelm Park, Edgewood, & East Hills, approximately a radius of 7 miles from our central office.
