I'm proud to be supporting this fundraiser for Allies for Health + Wellbeing! This is an organization that means so much to be as as queer community member and current employee. Allies provides a welcoming space for all and makes healthcare accessible with a clinic, pharmacy, mental health services, and HIV case management all in one building in East Liberty. As a non-profit, Allies is able to help its patients and clients find quality care no matter their situation. As an Social Work intern in Allies' clinic, I was able to meet so many incredible patients and assist them in navigating healthcare and social systems. After 9 months of interning there, I can tell you the clinic staff are out of this world fantastic and have so much care for everyone who walks through the doors. Now, as an HIV Medical Case Manager with Allies, I get to build relationships with people from all over Allegheny county and assist them in meeting their bio/psych/social/medical goals. I love my job<3
