Vincentian
About this Organization
Vincentian has humbly and proudly served as a sanctuary of care and compassion for those most in need in the Pittsburgh community for over 100 years, establishing a caregiving refuge for those who could not care for themselves.
Nearly all donations go immediately to support the care of vulnerable older adults requiring long-term skilled nursing care. Vincentian delivers the same quality care to each person regardless of financial compensation because it's the right thing to do; however, in recent years it comes at a near-debilitating price. Since 2020, Vincentian has delivered over $44 million in uncompensated benevolent care each year, depleting decades of precious reserve funds to care for people who needed care today. The financial impact of providing this degree of uncompensated care - the difference between what Vincentian receives as payment and the actual cost Vincentian incurs to deliver quality care - has unfortunately necessitated closing campuses, including Vincentian Marian Manor in 2024.
Vincentian remains committed to caring for the community's most vulnerable, but now more than ever needs support to ensure the continuation of its fearlessly compassionate mission.
