Three Rivers Youth

About this Organization

Three Rivers Youth was founded in 1880 on a social justice platform as The Home for Colored Children, the second oldest organization to care for abused, neglected & abandoned children of color. Over time, we have ridden the tide of change & have aligned ourselves with evidence-based approaches to ensure that the least of us is not the worst-off of us. Three Rivers Youth offers a continuum of care to children, youth & adults: foster care; in home family preservation services; behavioral health; case management & employment services for individuals re-entering society after incarceration; school-based drug and alcohol diversion programs; & a range of drug and alcohol recovery services. We have evolved into an organization that provides a rich ecosystem of interventions and supports that focuses on improving health outcomes, driving the social determinants of health for vulnerable populations, and strengthening families so that they are resilient and remain intact. This year, we proudly celebrate our 145th anniversary and our own resiliency in remaining relevant, agile, and adaptive to the evolving landscape of child welfare and community-based health.
