Wallace Memorial Presbyterian dba Unity Presbyterian Church for the Food Pantry

About this Organization

Unity Food Pantry, a member agency of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, has served our neighbors in need in Green Tree and other surrounding areas since 1982. Our goal is to promote health and well-being for each member of the almost 80 registered families with about 200 individual family members whom we serve in Greentree, Dormont, and Westwood, as well as those parts of Pittsburgh, Scott, Mt. Lebanon, and Crafton Heights for which we are the closest food pantry.

To help ensure the health and well being of our clients, it is our commitment to provide generous quantities of nutritious foods each month when they visit our pantry. This includes lots of fresh dairy, fresh produce, and frozen meat, chicken, and fish, as well as generous supplies of pantry staples, such as soups, vegetables, fruits, tuna, peanut butter, cereal, milk, rice, spaghetti and sauce, and much more.

Ensuring health and well-being also requires providing extra food to families in the summer, when children do not have access to the free or discounted meals at their schools. It is providing backpacks filled with school supplies to all school age children in our pantry families.
